Vastu Shastra

At » 11:16 AM // 0 Comments »

A lot of people in our locality are falling prey to this demon called Vastu Shastra. Even my dad had called a "Vastu Expert" to analise our house. I heard him word by word and I felt that believing in this Shastra is just like believing in God. Simply because there is no logic involved in it. Just because the kitchen of our house is in the south west corner he said that the women of our house will have a shorter life and that most of my dad's hard earned money is going in kitchen expenses. I just smiled at him and asked dude what is the connection between my dad's expenses and the kitchen's position. He gives me an example that there was so and so house and the people of that house were facing this big problem n bla bla. Areey there is a difference between my family members and the people of the house that the Vastu expert mentioned. My family members have a set of capabilities( & weakness) which are quite different from those of the people of that house.Instead of improving the cooking habits why do something as crazy as demolishing the kitchen. I mean a kitchen is not even a living creature and it still it's harming us?[:O]. Is it a demon [:P].

I find it quiet funny that our elders themselves say " Beta jaisay karma karoge waise phal paoge" and instead of improving thier karma they demolish the same house that they built with such great love, care and hopes and ambitions. Ha. They themselves say "josh mein hosh say kaam lo" and they only let their josh control them, they only forget what they preach

Before you start wondering what this post is all about let me tell you its about a gal called Sonali. Hmmm she cute, sweet, intelligent but a stupid, idiot girl. No she's not my galfrnd, not even my friend. Then who's she??Hmmmmmmm hahah.

Ok she's my sister ,my uncle's daughter studying in 4th or 5th std i guess.
Her speciality ----> always looking around for ways and means to trouble and tease others. And as soon as you show her something new, something that she has never seen and she starts bulldozing you with questions, you know the answers but just can't explain it to her.

Some days back when I showed her a rocket, in came a PJ. "Dada te pakshi yevda dhur ka sodat aahey"(bro, why is that bird leaving such a huge amount of smoke) haha. I didn't want to get further questions from her so I told her "its a man bird na that's why". She thought for a while and asked "dada!! when did man start manufacturing birds. I want to have a closer look at it. Take me to the manufacturing factory.I was like" Hey bhagwan?"(oh God).But.......

I did take her. Not to the factory yaar. To our very own VTU(Virtually Taxing University). Had to go there for submitting my PGCET form offcourse. There I showed her these rockets.

Even after seeing these her questions didn't stop. Her final question was this "Dada how are these manufactured?". I said "beta I don't know ask your dad". She says "hmm ahaha you are a mechanical engineer and you dont know ahaha". Me :"I know beta but can't explain it to you". She: "yes dada I know how much you know hahaha".

Now milk becomes poison.. :O

I was just shuffling through news channels and suddenly saw a man dipping his hands in a vessel full of milk and steering it. I thought it might be some Bihari and who knows our dear funny man Lalu Prasad may pop up. But to my horror the man was preparing something called as synthetic milk. I tried to find the video but sigh.He had taken a big vessel full of water and emptied a full bottle of white colour( yes the same colour that children use to paint). What was more horrifying was that he then added urea and a packet of shampoo to it. He mixed it thoroughly. And added an equal quantity of milk into the vessel. The channel reported that this is being done in many cities across India.

Are these effects of recession??. I just can't believe that people can fall down to such low standards.

What's going on with mother earth?. All I get to hear these days is only bad news. It all started with the mumbai attacks, then came the bomb blasts, then punjab burnt, then racist attacks on Indians,Air France flight crashed, then a mishap was avoided.

Reservation for Women

At » 1:16 PM // 4 Comments »
What?? reservations for women??.....why?. The Indian society has already been divided into several castes and what not. The British started it and these selfish politicians are doing it again. I say are reservations the only solution, when the problem lies in the myth that " women are weak and suited only for house-hold work". Are there not enough women in parliament already. Are they not proving the myth wrong. Yes, but possibly the rural India is either not aware of it or they are bound by the society.I think the government must think more about solving this myth. If at all a woman desperately wants to be in parliament she will find her own way.And wonder if after comming to power she will think only about women and not India. I wonder if she'll ever make a law that says "only women can be CEO's, only woman can be a sarpanch" and Let me ask the women themselves "how much did she gain from abt 10 yrs rule by a woman called Indira Gandhi". "This favour by the government is no less. Regardless of what merit I may possess, the suspect factor remains that I got there through other means" says a women blogger. If parties feel that there is a need for more women representatives then why don't they have reservations in their own parties. How will reservations help when the men in their own parties are not giving space for women.I am not against the progress of women but I am against something that suppresses the meritorious and intelligent. Why risk giving the magic stick to someone who doesn't deserve it.I am against something that divides this country and inflicts hate and jealousy. If one sees the results of 10Th or 12Th std. of any board one will find that the topper is a female. Why reservation for them when they can do equally well or even better than men in many spheres of life?. And do women vote only for women. Do Dalits vote only for Dalits. Its only such stupid reservation policies that encourage voters to be religiously and genderously motivated. See by yourself what Nehru ji has to say abt reservations here:

So our nations first prime-minister didn't want to create a secon rate country and here we have our leaders taking us on a wrong path. And it's the leaders that we have choosen. It's the leaders who can't think beyond reservations, beyond giving cheap loans to farmers. It's the leaders who use their powers to mend the law, the constitution to suit their own parties, without giving importance to the country's progress.

Deccan odyessy

At » 6:21 PM // 2 Comments »
IPL is proof that "GOD listens to the needy and the deserving" for last time round its was Rajastan Royals who needed his blessings and this time it was RCB and Deccan Chargers(DC).
Both these teams started their quest from the bottom of the points chart 2008.
RCB did win their 1st match but a series of losses followed. This was the time when they needed HIS help and he did heed in the form of Anil KUmble. He turned their tide upside down. They managed to win 6 six in a row. Was Vajay Mallya dreaming??....no but would his dream come true. Will RCB lift the trophy. Only time could tell for nobody expected RCB to reach the final.
Deccan Chargers on the other hand began their campaign, like a house on fire, sweeping all before them in the initial stages, and despite some lean period towards the end reached the finals with great honour.

The final match, I did want RCB to win and had decided to write this post only if they do.But from somewhere I haerd a voice "DC will win" it said and in the end the final turned out to be a Deccan Odyessy. An odyessy with a lot many twists and turns and even a couple of funny incidents when Van Der Merwe falling down twice. Some electric fieldwork by Andrew Symonds, Rohit Sharma and Herschelle Gibbs, excellent left-arm spin from Pragyan Ojha and aggressive captaincy by Gilchrist worked wonders for the DC. It's they who deserved to win in the end.Now let take this occasion to share a few lines that I have written on cricket:

CRICKET IS OUR RELIGION WE INDIANS SAY,

WE FOLLOW IT IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.

BE IT A SIXER, A 2 OR A 4,

WE ROAR FOR EVERY SINGLE SCORE.

NO OTHER GAME HAS RECIEVED SUCH A CRAZE

LIKE KINGS AND TIGERS OUR PLAYERS ARE PRAISED

WINNING HAS BECOME EVERY PLAYERS GOLE

TEAM INDIA WILL SOON BE AT THE TOP OF TEAM RANKINGS POLE
